CLASSIFICATION AND TYPES OF FIRE RESISTANT GLASS
The choice of type of glass depends on the following parameters:
FIRE CLASSIFICATION
Class E:
No flames or hot gases on the non-fire side
Monolithic glass based on Soda-Lime
Wired glass
Class EW:
Same as Class E plus measured radiated heat in front of the glazing may not exceed 15 kW/mē
Float glass with interlayer
Coated safety glass
Class EI:
Heat shield function. On average the temperature may not exceed 140° C above the initial temperature on the non-fire side of the glazing
Float glass with multiple interlayer
Tempered glass with interlayer
Heat Energy radiation according to glass classification
Radiation on the non fire side 1 m in front of the fire protective glazing
